Causeway Closure and Garbage Drop Off
The causeway will be closed to all traffic starting Monday June 24th. To help our residents who live on the south side of the lake a garbage dumpster will be available on Saturdays from 9am-11am at the Buffalo Lake District site. This will be for GARBAGE ONLY, no large items or metal. Garbage intake will be on a first come first served basis and if the dumpster fills up prior to 11am the site will close for the day.

free Electronics recycling
The Town of Packwaukee now has FREE electronic recycling at the Recycling Center. This service is only available to taxpayers in the town of Packwaukee as is the rest of the Recycling Center. The following items are eligible for free recycling:
- cellphones, other telephones with a video display and phone accessories operated by a battery;
- computers (desktop, laptop, and netbook computers)
- desktop printers (including those that scan, fax, and/or copy and 3-D printers);
- computer monitors;
- other computer accessories (including keyboards, mice, speakers, scanners);
- DVD players, VCRs and other video players (i.e., DVRs);
- Fax machines;
- tablets and e-readers;
- TVs;
- video game consoles; and
- video game system components and portable hand-held video game devices operated by a battery

Town Board Adopts Community Wildfire Protection PlanThe Packwaukee Town Board recently voted on a resolution to adopt The Town of Packwaukee Community Wildfire Protection Plan. The plan is intended to help fire protection agencies, community leaders, natural resource professionals, and homeowners be better prepared for wildfires. Adoption of a Community Wildfire Protection Plan also earns the town priority consideration for funding hazardous fuels reduction projects. Read the full resolution and Protection Plan here.

Dog LicensesIt shall be unlawful for any person in the Town of Packwaukee to own, harbor or keep any dog more than five (5) months of age without complying with the provisions of Sec.174.05 through 174.10, Wis. Stats. Relating to the listing, licensing and tagging of the dog. Any dog found without a license would be subject to a fine up to $195.00. You can contact the Town Treasurer Jeri Showers to obtain a license. Town Ordinance is 7-1-1 which you can find on this website. This ordinance will be enforced!!
